THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WORKER (SSC) T32, Position Description Number PDD1352000 and is part of the AZ Army Aviation Support Facility 1, National Guard.

Duties

This position is located in Phoenix, Arizona with the AASF #1. The purpose of this position is to serve as shop chief over a small organizational segment in a maintenance function with responsibility for the overall shop operation. One or more employees who perform work in the Fuel Distribution System Worker, WG-5413-08,occupation are assigned to the shop. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

Requirements

• ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army National Guard, in a military organization supported by the AASF #1.
• This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
• Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
• Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
• Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
• May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
• Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
• Irregular (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
• Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance within 12 months of start date.
• Incumbent must possess a valid state issued driver's license.

Qualifications

Military Grades: PV2/E2 - SSG/E6 Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess MOS 88M or 92F SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 18 months experience or training operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and overhauling fuel systems and components. Experience or training initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines.
