About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Health Clinic Patuxent River, Materiel Management Department, Patuxent river, MD. Student loan repayment, advanced in-hire, relocation and recruitment incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.
Duties
The incumbent plans, directs, and coordinates supply operational activities that involve purchasing equipment and supplies, conducting inventories, issuing supplies and procurement official for all credit card purchases.
Responsible for requisitioning, reviewing, inspecting, receiving, storing, issuing, and disposing of items. Responsible for maintaining current and accurate inventory control records.
Performs research to plan and determine current and anticipated customer requirements, validate Table of Distribution and Allowances (TOA) Authorizations, and initiate actions to maintain supply stock levels.
Provides advice, assistance, and customer service to all sailors, civilians, and contractors of the Naval Health Clinic and it subordinate commands.
Serves as the Billing Official for the Government Purchase Card Program.
Performs monthly reviews of back orders. Perform reconciliation against purchase requests. Prepares receiving reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Secret clearance is required.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations. Applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- Lifting up to 40 lbs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes requisitioning equipment and supplies; placing and tracking orders for supplies and equipment made via government purchase card (GPC), Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), and contracts; assisting customers with conducting market research to identify sources of supply; receiving, inventorying, distributing, and maintaining supplies; and utilizing computer systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook) and DMLSS; and inspecting, receiving, storing, issuing and disposing stock items. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. [remove LL.B or J.D., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study].

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
