About the Position: This is a Printing Services Specialist position located at Army Training Support Center (ATSC) at Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, VA is located in Newport News, between Historic Colonial Williamsburg, and Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads area has all the conveniences of a large city with charm of small towns.

Duties

Serves as the coordinator and staff advisor in directing the programming and planning of coordinated publishing publications, forms, and training graphics products reproduction and distribution system. Performs administrative work for printing the Doctrine, Training, and Educational products on paper or electronic files, digital eBooks, PDF files, graphics, and forms (printing estimates, specifications, and other replication instructions). Develops and reviews directives, regulations, CAC, CAC-T and Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) supplements pertaining to doctrinal and training publications. Responsible for the efficient processing and coordination of all products being processed for contract replication and Administers contracts for procurement of printed products processed in accordance with (IAW) prescribed regulations.

  • Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) assisting with the processing, printing, and/or coordination of publication products; 2) using web based software to manage the status, inventory control, and distribution of training products; AND 3) developing policies for the improvement of doctrinal and training products. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). -OR- Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or with a major study in journalism, business administration, English composition, commerce, accounting, printing or printing engineering, graphic or commercial art, industrial engineering, or economics. NOTE: You must provide a copy of your transcripts. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
