The Administrative Officer provides staff assistance and direction related to budget allocation and tracking services, property and equipment inventories, travel services, fleet management, procurement and supply acquisition in support of direct mission safety operations in support of the Regional Field Administrator and Administrative Services Manager.

Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 12, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11 it must include: Experience ordering supplies and equipment, experience with federal travel regulations, preparing correspondence, using spreadsheets and other software to keep records of expenditures and other administrative functions of procurement and human resources services. To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include: Experience performing office management functions; property management; space management; budget development; files and records management; human resource management, emergency planning, and directives management KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Accountability - Holds self and others accountable for measurable high-quality, timely, and cost-effective results. Determines objectives, sets priorities, and delegates work. Accepts responsibility for mistakes. Complies with established control systems and rules. Budget Administration - Knowledge of the principles and practices of budget administration and analysis; including preparing, justifying, reporting on, and executing the budget; and the relationships among program, budget, accounting, and reporting systems. Customer Service (*) - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Planning and Evaluating - Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes. Interpersonal Skills - Treats others with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect. Considers and responds appropriately to the needs and feelings of different people in different situations.
