As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.The position will reside in the Office of Accident Investigation and Prevention.
Duties
The Supervisory Airway Transportation System Specialist manages the work of a large, multi-level organization typically through subordinate managers. Serves as the Recommendations Branch manager and as such provides management oversight of both the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Safety Recommendation Program and the FAA Safety Recommendation Program. Integrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals of the organization and the FAA, participates in strategic planning for the FAA, and makes commitments for a major organization.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- Must be able to obtain and retain a Federal Government Travel Charge Card.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the K-band, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS 14. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience includes: Experience developing, monitoring and modifying performance metrics to meet established milestones and goals. Experience receiving, evaluating, processing, and responding to safety recommendation issues, including ensuring all data is accurate and complete.Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their Work History.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
