About the Position: This position is located at the South Florida Operations Office of the Jacksonville District in Clewiston, Florida. Clewiston, historically known as America's Sweetest Town, was incorporated in 1925 and occupies 4.57 square miles. Clewiston is centrally located in south Florida about 60 miles east of Fort Myers on the Gulf of Mexico and 60 miles west of Palm Beach on the Atlantic Ocean.
Duties
Review design specifications and plans for civil works projects
Provide engineering technical support to diverse sections within the organization.
Oversee flood risk management project inspection program
Evaluate engineering work of subordinates.
Develop program budget and obligation expenditure schedules.
Prepare and review Project Safety plans, Operations and Maintenance Plans, and Emergency Operations plans.
Plan work, set and adjust short term priorities, prepare schedules for completion of work.
Implement preventive maintenance program.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: (1) Experience in directing Operation and Maintenance contractor crews and plans; (2) Determining repair techniques, resources and schedules; and (3) Overseeing maintenance operations crews.
