You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the ACIO/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.

Duties

You will lead a staff of senior and junior Information Technology (IT) professionals responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the technical and administrative functions within the 1042 Branch. You will ensure cooperation within team members to ensure software modules properly operate with other system components, ensuring proper integration and interoperability of individual effort with the application as a whole. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking/managing/scheduling the design, development, integration, and maintenance of the Corporate Operations systems software. You will perform a range of software development efforts, from preparing written technical functional requirements and specifications to design and architecture. You will interpret business requirements and researches, suggests, and/or implements the necessary and approved technologies to fulfill those requirements. You will research and recommend alternative solutions to new computer program needs, and updates and maintains existing code. You will establish objectives, sets priorities, and uses internal controls, goal setting techniques, delegation, and team building to effectively manage the Software Development team.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NT-04 (GS 11-12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing application software requirements to monitor technical performance and develop IT solutions impacting customer service delivery. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
