This position is in the Activations and Operations Section of Facilities Management Service. The incumbent receives littler or no instruction in the performance of assigned tasks. Plans and lays out the work to be performed on a task such as the ordering of material to install or replace piping to compressor systems for medical air and vacuum systems. The tasks assigned are complex in nature and require a broad knowledge of equipment, systems, pipefitting and plumbing.

The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) is a level 1A integrated tertiary health care system comprised of medical centers in Nashville, TN and Murfreesboro, TN and twenty (20) additional community-based clinics in Middle Tennessee and Kentucky. TVHS provides ambulatory care, primary care, and secondary care in acute medicine and surgery, as well as specialized tertiary care, transplant services, spinal cord injury outpatient care, and a full range of extended care and mental health services. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
