Duties
You will determine if one or two forklifts and/or attachments are needed, such as fork extensions for the
material or equipment being moved.
You will load and unload materials and component parts into assigned warehouse storage bins with a maximum clearance of 2” on either side of the bin, to a height of 12 feet in very congested areas of the storage warehouses.
You will operate warehouse tractor in towing and placing wheel-mounted equipment.
You will pull warehouse trailers loaded with component parts to the appropriate area for cleaning and painting and
subsequently back to the product team for assembly.
Yu will drive warehouse tractor and move Light ArmoredVehicles and other vehicle hulls transported on trailers into and out of the Welding and Non Destructive Testing shops.
You will performs operator maintenance, checking oil, batteries, tires, etc., on a daily basis and complete a daily log for all checks.
Requirements

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment and annual physical examination.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a forklift license within 6 months of employment.
Qualifications
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

Ability to perform the most difficult and complex of a Fork Lift Operator, including operating electrical, diesel, or gasoline powered forklifts from 4,000 to 25,000 pound capacity as an expert with a high degree of independence.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
