You will serve as a DRUG DEMAND REDUCTION COORDINATOR in the Substance Abuse Counseling Center (SACC) Marine and Family Programs aboard MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.
Duties
You will identify target groups and develop didactical local program plans, methods and procedures to meet the needs of all personnel on the installation.
You will conduct research, develop needs assessments, establish effective methods of disseminating information, review daily installation blotters and surrounding community reports and develop annual prevention plan.
You will prepare and coordinate local unit policy letters, and installation policies and orders for the installation commander's approval and implementation.
You will develop and administer an installation-wide prevention education and training program, emphasizing education and awareness on the use and abuse of drugs to military personnel, civilians and surrounding communities.
You will advise on the policies and procedures involved with a urinalysis program (e.g., systematic screening, required and random testing, illicit substances screened for) to maintain organizational readiness.
You will conduct urinalysis testing and training in accordance with USMC policies and procedures and per MCO 5300.17A.
Requirements

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical expertise regarding education awareness and prevention on illegal drugs and alcohol abuse to include; conduct urinalysis testing and training, conduct need assessments regarding installation substance abuse program, compile and analyze substance abuse data, submit reports to senior officials, teach and review substance abuse control management courses, distribute educational material, and present substance abuse information at seminars.

Basic Requirements
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
GS-11:
3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree
or
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
