Duties

You will assign, direct, and review the work of subordinates involved in the maintenance, repair, and inspection of shop maintained buildings and building systems located on the activity. You will verify maintenance work is completed on time, within cost, and to quality levels required by monitoring execution of work requests, service tickets, and preventative maintenance actions. You will use computer for cost estimating, scheduling, tracking of work in progress, timekeeping, and to produce reports. You will ensure safety requirements and fire regulations are followed by all employees of the shop.

Qualifications

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Assigns, directs and reviews the work of subordinates involved in the maintenance, repair and inspection of shop maintained buildings and building systems located on the activity 2) Obtains necessary information from supervisor, customer or other knowledgeable individuals when problems arise 3) Participates in a wide field of personnel matters concerning subordinates including leave requests, disciplinary and commendatory actions, awards and promotions by making recommendations 4) Monitors execution of work requests, service tickets and preventive maintenance actions to ensure work is completed on time.
