Duties

Serves as Chief of the Military Branch B. Has oversight responsibility for the programs and project management activities related to execution of the District's large, complex and diversified Air Force and Environmental programs. Ensure consistency and continuity of program management within the District and provides a central point of contact on assigned phases of the program. Interface with other District staff chiefs to ensure overall program coordination for planning, engineering, real estate, contracting, construction, and legal issues. Ensure the efficient, effective and timely execution of the assigned program in accordance with established objectives, schedules, and program funds. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing a quality product consistent with direction of higher authority, laws, regulations and policies.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain possession of or ability to acquire a valid state driver's license.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position is temporary in nature. The incumbent will be placed on a term not to exceed (NTE) appointment.
  • For current Federal employees, return rights will NOT be eligible to be granted and will be separated at the end of NTE date.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes working with project management business processes and tools such as cost, budget, schedule, scope and quality of vertical design projects i.e. Military Construction/ Interagency and International Services (MILCON/IIS), related military programs, or civil works (water resources) projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsLeadershipProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
