This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

You will make minor changes in machine setups and corrects minor machining problems during the machining process. You will ensure that dimensions meet those prescribed by blueprints, sketches, or other instructions through the use of various standard measuring instruments. You will perform duties inside and outside of the shop area in support of vehicle lines and other commodities. You will use hand tools, portable power tools, and electromagnetic drill presses to remove broken bolts, broken taps, repair threaded holes, drill and tap new holes, and to perform vehicle and equipment modifications. You will perform data entry of UID information for transfer to the UID National Registry.

• This is a bargaining unit position.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities listed below: Operating conventional machines such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, or grinding machines to machine castings, forgings, or other items from various metals, metal alloys, or other materials.
