This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA BUSINESS OPERATIONS DIVISION-RN11.
Duties
Provides initial security training brief for all incoming personnel, including SCI pre-screening, as required.
Provides oversight and participates in the planning, development, implementation, and administration of physical security measures in all SCI areas and facilities (SCIFs).
Participates in the budgeting, design, procurement, installation, evaluation, oversight, and management of all SCIF access control, identification, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
Coordinates protection of Information Systems Security pertaining to secure areas, rooms, and facilities, in order to ensure maximum protection of IT equipment, software, media, and other forms of communications.
Investigates report of security violations, including physical access and unauthorized disclosure of National Security and/or National Intelligence Information.
Requirements

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This is a drug testing position.
- Top Secret/SCI security clearance required.
- This is a Mission Essential position.
- May require Shift Work.
- Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Level 1 required.
- Overtime may be required as workload demands.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in implementing physical security, anti-terrorism, and force protection policies; evaluating SCI and SCIF security programs, and monitoring security systems to maintain physical security of an agency's assets to include access control, intrusion detection systems, and closed circuit television (CCTV) systems.

The Department of Defense (DoD) policy on employment of annuitants issued March 18, 2004 will be used in determining eligibility of annuitants. This position has been designated as "Mission Essential." Incumbent will be required to report to work or relocate to a new duty location, within the United States, in times of local/national emergency. The incumbent may also be required to physically report to an alternate duty station during the activation of a Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan.
