This position is located at DeAnza Sports & Fitness Center, Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. Announcement will have a first cutoff date of November 3, 2023, and applicants that submit a complete application packet prior to that date and found eligible may be given first consideration.

Duties

Supervises a staff of 3-12 employees, assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily, weekly, or longer basis. Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines objectives and rates performance. Serves as a recreation assistant in support of recreational activities applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials and facilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Shift will generally be 0430-1300 Monday-Friday but may vary. However, weekends and holidays may be required in support of special events.
• Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors.
• Driver's license is required when operating government vehicles.

Qualifications

Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. Highly Preferred Criteria: All answers to the Highly Preferred Criteria must be visible in your resume to get credit. Two (2) years experience supervising a recreation activity. Experience creating a work schedule. Experience organizing special events.
