About the Position: This position is located with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, Operations Division, Revetment Branch, Memphis, TN. Serves as Maintenance Control Technician and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for the operation and maintenance of the branch.

Duties

Provide guidance and training to crew supervisors on the more complicated features of the system to enable them to search for additional information and update records. Ensure that the anticipated work request is in compliance with all District and Operations Division policies. Coordinate and monitor work after award as the COR to ensure it is on schedule and in compliance with contract term requirements and to the satisfaction of the requestor. Coordinate with program analyst personnel to ensure proper accounting and appropriate funds are available. Organize and compile all pertinent information, assures accuracy, and enters data and updates for each piece of equipment into the maintenance system

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) maintaining repairs and maintenance records; (2) entering information into automated management systems; (3) maintaining inventory and property records. (4) utilizing multiple components of complex maintenance control systems with the ability to analyze the system procedures. (5) monitor work after awards to ensure compliance with contract terms. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementData ManagementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-08).
