About the Position: The person is this position will be highly skilled in the delivery of professional services and serve as a consultant and resource person to other behavioral health staff, medical staff, rehabilitation staff (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology) and other patient care professionals.

Duties
Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team led by medical providers and comprised of rehab, behavioral health, and support staff .
Provide neuropsychological and rehabilitative services for outpatients with history of TBI presenting for treatment of chronic symptoms and possible comorbid psychological health injuries.
Provide services to include individual, group, and family therapy interventions, assessments, consultations, and psychoeducation.
Formulate treatment plans and recommendations and implements therapeutic interventions.
Serve as a consultant and resource to other behavioral health providers, medical staff, rehabilitation staff, and other patient care professionals.
Provide professional and individualized training to psychology, or other trainees, at various phases of training development (practicum, independently licensed postdoctoral fellows, psychology interns/residents).
Evaluate the full spectrum of basic to complex rehabilitation cases.
Experience with TBI is preferred.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This position may be designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist:
Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. (You must provide your transcripts)
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing neuropsychological assessments, developing treatment plans or recommendations, and providing collaboration and consultation with other healthcare professionals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
License: The Clinical Psychologist position requires a current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
