You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the FX/SDB II TECHNICAL PROJECT OFFICE (TPO) of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will assist Technical Project Offices (TPO) Lead in the successful execution of tasking assigned to the TPO balancing schedules, resources and priorities between other TPO tasks and across other NAWCWD projects.
You will assist the Technical Project Offices (TPO) Lead and Office Manager with setting and maintaining Security Policies and Procedures for the offices and lab spaces.
You will maintain a working knowledge of Technical Project Office-managed contracts and associated deliverables.
You will perform reviews of deliverables including but not limited to specification change notices, test plans and reports, failure reports, technical review data packages and change notices.
You will provide technical leadership to the command which may include but is not limited to participation in technical reviews for products outside the Technical Project Office.
You will provide mentorship of junior personnel and technical briefings for participants in the Engineer and Scientist Development Program (ESDP).

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Providing requirements definition, risk identification, planning, and test and evaluation support for weapons / weapon components; 2) Ensuring technical solutions and associated products meet contracted requirements; 3) Performing reviews of deliverables (e.g. specification change notices, test plans and reports, failure reports, technical review data packages, change notices.); 4) Demonstrating knowledge of weapon systems.
