This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Program Support Center, Real Estate, Logistics and Operations (RLO), located in Perry Point, Maryland.

Duties

Performs a variety of duties that include preparation and submission of special and routine reports and other records, locating and recommending correction of backlogs and other bottlenecks. Correct supply chain discrepancies and aid in inventory management adjustments. As an Inventory Management Specialist, the incumbent assists the Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist with processing and controlling transactions on approximately 4000 inventory items. Research documents and reports to confirm the validity of requests for stockage of new items; and predicts future item requirements over a period based on past and current demand trends. Responsible for maintaining detailed information on all stock and non-stock items including item descriptions, cost, lot tracking requirements, unit of measure, volumetrics, etc.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below. Specialized Experience: GS-07: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level in the Federal service that includes the following: Preparing inventory reports; Maintaining detailed information on stock and non-stock items; Assisting in physical inventories of stock items. OR one full year of graduate level education; OR meet the requirements under the superior academic achievement* provision; OR a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.
