About the Position: This position support the Naval Hospital Pensacola, Directoriate of Resource Management and is located within the Materials Management Office, Office Hours are Monday-Friday-0700-1600, This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Incumbent supervises and is ultimately responsible for all administrative and professional aspects of the Materiel Management Department. Supervising around 48 employees. Provide training to all supply technician throughout the Naval Hospital and clinics. Establishes work priorities, deadlines, and work to be accomplished by subordinates. Sets and adjusts short-term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Oversees daily operations of command warehouse. Incumbent is responsible for receipt/acceptance and distribution of all supplies and equipment. Ensures that all supporting documentation is completed and kept in accordance with Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) and Defense Health Agency (DHA) polices. Ensure proper storage/disposal of NHP Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) and Hazardous Material/Waste. Executes all Prime Vendor (PV)/Electronic Catalog (ECAT) orders and communicates supply issues with department supply representatives as needed. Ensure proper storage/disposal of excess equipment. Manage and monitor medical gases and linen storage/delivery and goods/services contracts for NHP.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position may require the incumbent to complete a one year supervisory probationary period.
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes one or more of the following: 1)Overseeing warehouse distribution 2) Ensuring proper storage or safety of inventory 3) Managing the disposal of excess equipment and/or 4) Tracking inventory via automated systems; such as, Defense Medical Logistics, Standard Support (DMLSS), Electronic Catalog Orders (ECAT) and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
