About the Position:
Serve as a Program Support Assistant performing various administrative and clerical duties in support of the Sparkman Center and the G4 Sparkman Management Office.
Duties
Prepares and submits minor repairs for the Sparkman Complex.
This includes aiding in PII management, assisting with deliveries, supplies required, transportation, providing reoccurring reports.
Serve under the Team Leader of the Sparkman Management Office Loading Dock, G4, US Army Aviation and Missile Command.
The team leader makes assignments, provides instructions on special projects, and performs random checks to determine if overall objectives are being accomplished.
Requirements
- A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 45 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. Are you willing and able to meet the lifting requirement.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time. Are you willing and able to travel away from your permanent duty station up to 5% of the time.

GS-05: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative support duties such as establishing, updating, and maintaining office records of various types. Maintains, purges, and dispose of records/files in accordance with office regulations and procedures.
OR
Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. GS-06:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative support duties by exercising administrative regulation, policies and practices sufficient to provide staff support and assistance to assigned office personnel; experience gathering, consolidating, extracting, assembling and summarizing program related data and /or information; preparing in processing documents, initiating RPAs, assisting new employees. Experience performing office automation duties using software such as microsoft word, excel databases, and electronic mail.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05) for the (GS-06).There is no Time in Grade Requirement for the GS-05.
