Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to perform tasks concerned with the receipt, storage, issue and replenishment of a wide variety of supplies.

Duties

Maintains stock levels for authorized supplies. Reviews stock records and determines replenishment needs by fixed mathematical formulae. Performs document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions. Provides assistance to operators, maintainers, or other outside organizations. Performs general clerical support work. Maintains and annotates files providing for easy and timely retrieval/location of material. Perform work as unit Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder. Individual will be responsible for the GPC program at the Detachment level. Performs as a motor vehicle operator. Will maintain assigned vehicles, coordinate fuel key usage and provide transportation of logistics goods as requires.

  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program

  • Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. GENERALIZED EXPERIENCE: Three years progressively responsible general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least a pay band NH-01, (GS-04) and a level close to the work of the position and knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform. Typically, experience is found in the work within this field that is closely related: Knowledge of commonly used logistic methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to support the unit's operational mission. Knowledge of missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes pertinent to installation programs/organizations. Knowledge of all areas of supply to include logistics, transportation, and maintenance operations. General Experience is described as experience demonstrating the ability to 1) analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) plan and organize work; and 3) communicate effectively orally and in writing. OR EDUCATION: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of commonly used logistic methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, and processes to support the unit's operational mission. Knowledge of missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes pertinent to installation programs/organizations. Knowledge of all areas of supply to include logistics, transportation, and maintenance operations. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data to prepare repair estimates, develop alternatives, and make recommendations to resolve logistics problems. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to justify, defend, present, and/or advise on logistic processes/actions. Ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes. Ability to identify problems and use sound judgment and decisions to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
