Duties

Required to assist the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility, which includes circulating among patrons to assure service is satisfactory. Must be able to issue/receive equipment to/from authorized users, as well as monitor fitness equipment condition. Track maintenance and repair or replace as appropriate, clean and perform minor maintenance on facility equipment. Assist with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Must be willing and able to obtain training certificates for the MWR Orientation Course and Customer Service within six (6) months of employment.
• Incumbent must be available to work Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, as well as occasional Holidays.
• Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Must possess related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to perform the duties of a recreation aid. Such duties could include: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery; assisting in setting up for events; etc. Please Note: In order to meet the minimum requirements for experience, your experience must be clearly stated in your resume.
