About the Position: Serve as Executive Officer of US Army Materials Command Principal Deputy G-3 Redstone Arsenal, Al
Duties
Provide input on the development of a vision and strategic plan for the G-3 Directorate.
Analyze organizational performance facts and data to draw conclusions and provide recommendations.
Attend and actively participate in staff calls and other special meetings conducted by the Principal Deputy.
Assign and review work to be performed by subordinate personnel.
Review all correspondence and other materials prepared for the information and signatures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- May be required to travel TDY 15% of the time.
- May be required to serve a one-year Supervisory probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes Provide expert guidance and assistants in the management of complex projects, studies, and actions items keeping the Principal Deputy informed of critical developments and providing expertise advice on administrative aspects of various problems or situations that may arise. Assignment will include coordination across several staff sections as well as interaction with high level officials within the Army and, and private industry.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
