This position serves as the Supervisory Supply Management Specialist at the IHS Project TRANSAM Program in Murfreesboro, TN. This position oversees administrative and technical operations by setting objectives, work plans, schedules, and commitment of resources. Monitoring and evaluating the progress of the program. Overseeing the TRANSAM staff in the accomplishment of its activities. Plans, develops, and maintains financial/budgetary records, procurement records, and inventory records.

Duties

Provides leadership and direction in the overall planning, development, and execution of TRANSAM policies and procedures. Plans, directs, coordinates, and executes the day-to-day activities required to efficiently receive, warehouse, issue, pack, load, ship, and deliver equipment and supplies to TRANSAM customers. Plans, develops, and maintains financial/budgetary records, procurement records, and inventory records. Oversees safety of warehouse operations (e.g. powered industrial trucks, machine guarding, walking/working surfaces), as well as the storage, packaging, and shipping of any hazardous goods.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples include: Logistical experience with acquisition of supplies and equipment; management supply operations; and inventory data reports. Training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions; knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; and experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
