Duties

You will conduct and attend meetings and visit sites to identify any facility problems that have developed. You will assist and brief supported Commands on the Regional Engineer / Public Works Department and how they work with regards to requesting work, funding jobs and related policies. You will provide updates to supported commands on all issues and work efforts, including outages, being accomplished for the facilities assigned. You will meet with representatives to review work-in-progress in assigned areas and identify issues and concerns with the projects. You will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative work involving the operations, maintenance, repair and/or modification of a variety of facilities and equipment.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administrative work with operations, maintenance, repair, and modification of a variety of facilities and equipment.. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
