About the Position: Position is for Lead Contract Price/Cost Analyst for the US Army Contracting Command (ACC) located in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Serve as Senior Functional Advisor at ACC to provide authoritative technical contract price/cost analyst related to complex sole source major weapon system procurement with review and analysis of cost accounting procedures and processes of major defense contractors.

Duties

Provide senior level expertise to resolve critical problems or develop new approaches for use by other price/cost analysis personnel in planning, negotiating, and administering major procurements. Provide senior level expertise to analyze new policies and directives to determine the extent of their influence and impact on price/cost analysis policies and procedures, and to determine the actions needed to implement the changes. Maintain liaison with stakeholders to furnish technical advice on the adequacy or feasibility of proposals. Review the work of personnel responsible for pricing across the organization, consult on the review of contractor proposals and other data, and recommend fair and reasonable price, applicable clauses, etc. Provide authoritative technical price/cost analysis and advice concerning complex sole source procurement with review and analysis of the cost accounting procedures and processes of major defense contractors.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Foundational Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.

AND In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) providing technical price/cost analysis and regulatory advice; 2) reviewing cost evaluation procedures and processes; and 3) providing contract cost and pricing service and guidance regarding original offers, modifications, redetermination, termination, and other procurement actions in connection with high dollar value, complex contracts (e.g, cost reimbursement, incentive-type, fixed price with price adjustment provisions, etc). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
