As a Program Analyst, you will service Regional GSA management and will be responsible for the analysis of subjects pertaining to evaluation of GSA programs and will plan, direct and exercise control over complex projects involving Regional organizations. Location of position: National Capital Region (NCR), within the Metropolitan Service Center.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Perform studies requiring evaluation and identification of a variety of operational problems, some of which may be new, controversial and/or complex, evaluating alternative solutions, and recommending appropriate courses of action.
Monitor, evaluate and/or execute assigned programs and initiatives. Perform cradle to grave quantitative or qualitative analyses, develop life-cycle cost analyses and develop recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of program goals, objectives, schedules, and initiatives.Develop recommendations for regional activities, operating policies and/or procedures. Serve as technical advisor for assigned program activities, recommending appropriate resources to facilitate accomplishment of objectives.
Conduct analytical studies that are of special interest to specific functional activities or programs and participate in sensitive aspects of the program. Studies oftentimes include evaluation of data that is sensitive in nature. Review, evaluate and monitor the progress of regional program areas in accomplishing objectives by appraising performance, progress, program status and trends.
Prepare and/or conduct briefings for higher level management to explain the specific analysis of subject matter, provide recommendations or action plans and provide guidance and/or direction for implementation. Make recommendations for the development or modification of program objectives and resource utilization to achieve the established goals, and to improve the performance of operating programs.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $94,199 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. This experience must include making recommendations to management to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of such programs and initiatives.
