The position is located with Office of Information Management Technology, Division of Information Security, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Provides IT Cybersecurity support and operations. Assists with network and software support in accordance with IT protocol and security.

Duties
Manage Information Technology Cybersecurity initiatives, develop, implement, and evaluate security programs, and design principles for vulnerability, detection, and authentication.
Coordinate the implementation of security programs across platforms and establishes vulnerability reporting criteria.
Implement advanced security requirements guidance and programs across disciplines and define the scope and level of detail explanation to apply security plans and policies.
Assess current and new systems design methodologies to improve software quality assessment and implementation activities, and institute compliance awareness.
Administer compliance oversight for implementation of systems cybersecurity policies, guidelines and procedures related to web-based applications, network, and systems designs and to include system lifecycle design, change review, and configuration management.
Collaborate with enterprise-wide stakeholders for IT systems, networks and IT assets.
Exercise significant responsibilities engaging with leadership across the Division, Office, Bureau, and Department.
Provide guidance to system administrators in solving technical and administrative questions generated from the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and documentation.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Preparing and delivery of cybersecurity-related briefings to senior management, peers, and staff; assessing and remediating security and privacy controls in accordance with applicable National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications. Implementing the Risk. Management Framework (RMF) process and identifying system vulnerabilities; and Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) requirements for information technology systems and enterprise and documentation and records. Applying advanced IT cybersecurity principles, concepts, standards, and practices and technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other specialists on critical cybersecurity issues and security control implementation strategies.
