About the position: This position will be assigned to the Fort Dix Bowling Facility.
Duties
With guidance and instructions, performs a variety of manual tasks necessary for the proper maintenance of the bowling facility; properly selecting and using both manual power tools and power equipment. With guidance and instruction, prepares and conditions bowling lane and approach surfaces/floors/walls/ceiling by cleaning, oiling, and polishing. With guidance and instruction, reads and interprets technical manuals to understand the functions of the parts or systems and to aid in analyzing problems of limited scope. With guidance and instruction, makes minor corrective adjustments and calibrations to bowling center machinery and periodic preventive maintenance on automatic equipment. Maintains stock levels and records on spare parts for automatic pinsetter and mechanical equipment. Performs a variety of manual tasks necessary for such as moving, arranging, collecting, and cleaning equipment and materials. Sweeps/dusts/cleans bowling alley; collects/removes trash and maintains all areas in a clean/orderly/safe fashion. Replaces burned out fuses and light bulbs. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- You must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry medium to heave objects up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have general mechanical ability and/or experience which demonstrate the ability to use, control, and clean power tools or powered equipment. Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions. Must be able to follow work outlines in preventive maintenance manuals.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
