This position is in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Safety and Technical Training Service Unit, Strategic Outreach Directorate, Standardization Group, AJI-4100. This Group is responsible for managing AJI business services, including contacts and budgets; employee performance management, awards and personnel requests; internal workforce training and development; directives, forms and records; quality management system; and automation and business process improvements.
Duties
The Program Manager provides managerial duties for the Standardization Group, responsible for managing the work of a large, multilevel organization through four geographically dispersed subordinate managers. Directs the work for multiple teams who oversee a variety of functional areas, including resource and human capital management, budget and finance, and communication, for the Safety and Technical Training Service Unit (AJI). Integrates the work of these organizations to meet AJI and Federal Aviation Administration strategic goals. The work activities impact directly on goals and objectives of the AJI, the ATO, and often the FAA; and frequently affects the internal and external customers of the AJI, and often the ATO and the FAA. This work is critical to the successful operation of AJI and directly impacts the safe and efficient operation of the ATO.

Qualifications
Candidates must have one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to at least the next
lower grade level (FV-J or FG/GS-14) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE AT THE NEXT LOWER LEVEL (GS-14/FV-J):Experience applying program/project management principles to direct and integrate multiple administrative and business programs, including human capital and resource management.Experience organizing programs, projects or activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
