The Research Associate provides research and evaluation services across a wide range of content areas for the D.C. Courts. The purpose of the position is to enable the D.C. Courts to use data, evaluation results, and research findings to inform decision-making, ensure high-quality processes and services for the public, and enhance public trust and confidence in the Courts.

- A probationary period of one (1) year must be successfully completed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in a social science, public administration, or a related field, plus four (4) years of demonstrated experience conducting applied research in a public sector/government setting, preferably in a court/criminal justice system agency.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
Ability to learn business intelligence systems and tools (eg. Oracle, Power BI, Tableau) to conduct analysis and develop reports and dashboards.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparing and presenting research findings for diverse audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships, collaborate on research projects, and work as part of a team
Excellent computer skills, with demonstrated knowledge of and experience with standard statistical analysis packages, (e.g., R, SAS or SPSS).
