This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.*Work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized as described in the Benefits section.

Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-07 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-06 level defined as maintaining supervisor's calendar and scheduling meetings; making travel arrangements; providing administrative guidance to staff.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
-Knowledge of the basic principles, concepts and methodology of administrative program processes and skill in applying this knowledge to carry out assignments.
-Knowledge of the administrative process and procedure for securing services necessary to ensure branch administrative program activities are properly carried out to completion.
-Knowledge of the capabilities, operating characteristics, and advanced functions of a variety of office automation software.
-Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and required formats.
-Knowledge of Federal travel procedures to the degree of being able to advise others on such matters.
-Knowledge to provide administrative program support to the Branch Manager and professional staff in carrying out their responsibilities for Division/Branch activities.
-Knowledge of the administrative processes and procedures of the Branch and the Division to permit independent performance of recurring assignments.
-Ability to select and apply standard references such as dictionaries and style manuals; ability to compose non-technical communications and reports and advise staff on various administrative program processes and procedures.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
