This position is part of the Office of Inspector General in the Human Capital Management Division. As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you will serve as the Branch Chief of Human Resources Operations. The incumbent will supervise a staff of HR professionals, provide direction and oversight of the day-to-day HR operations, to include recruitment, staffing, classification, organizational design, and human resources information systems such as eOPF, CHRIS HR, and USA Staffing.

- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 or an Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- New supervisors/managers are required to serve a one-year probationary period and 80 hours of supervisory training of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor.
- This position is not included in a Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting all of the following:
Providing customer support for human resources advisory and consulting services to resolve the most difficult and controversial human resources problems.
Providing authoritative policy interpretations on highly complex human resources issues.
Reviewing job opportunity announcements, job analysis, and coding of personnel actions for agency and regulatory compliance.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Time-in-Grade: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.
