These positions are located in Flatwoods Job Corp Center in Coeburn, Virginia and Timberlake Job Corp Center in Estacada, OR. The incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance duties for the Center. The incumbent will also assist with the planning and execution of the Center's maintenance management plan. Duties

Perform building maintenance repairs (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and cooling, painting, etc.) and minor construction activities. Identify and perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance. Apply fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides. Read, and apply specific instructions, work orders, specific installation instructions, schematic drawings or blueprints. Use of hand tools and variety of test equipment.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
• Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
• Successful completion of one-year probationary period, unless previously served.
