This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Program Support Center, Federal Occupational Health, located in Rockville, Maryland.

Duties

Develops written products that articulate, interpret, and explain important HHS and PSC policies, programs, initiatives, and plans. Develops information on the programs, policies, initiatives, and plans for PSC. Works with documents prepared by others who usually are expert in their fields, advising and assisting authors during the writing stage. Independently researches to collect information using diverse sources as the groundwork for developing legally and technically sound documents. Publicizes proposed new and revised policies, analyzes all comments received, and then writes the final document.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below. Minimum Qualifications For GS-12: Specialized Experience: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below: 1. Developing and managing written documents that articulate, interpret, and explain important policies, programs, initiatives, and plans for medical professionals who perform clinical duties in a healthcare setting. 2. Tracking policy documents for health care providers to ensure policies are regularly reviewed, revised, and posted for health professionals providing occupational health services. 3. Collaborating with health professionals and senior health care administrators on policies used to execute clinical programs. 4. Participating in the development of documents, including written policies and procedures, that are used for medical service operations. Minimum Qualifications For GS-13: Specialized Experience: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below: 1. Developing and managing written documents that articulate, interpret, and explain important policies, programs, initiatives, and plans for medical professionals who perform clinical duties in a healthcare setting. 2. Tracking policy documents for health care providers to ensure policies are regularly reviewed, revised, and posted for health professionals providing occupational health services. 3. Providing consultation to occupational health professionals and senior health care administrators on policies used to execute clinical programs.
