Serves as a frontline Supervisory Airway Transportation Systems Specialist (SATSS) for a System Support Center (SSC). Has responsibility for overall administrative and technical direction of the assigned staff consisting of specialists, technicians, and other FAA support staff involved in the maintenance of the NAS..

Duties

Applies knowledge of and experience with the interrelationships of FAA and Technical Operation's (1)organizational components and their functions and operations (2) priorities, plans procedures and policies; (3) NAS components, systems and organizations.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • This position requires completion and favorable adjudication of a Moderate Risk (5) Background Investigation (Tier 2) unless waiver is obtained.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG/GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is defined as experience in the FV-2101 occupation or in a related occupation, which equips the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized Experience is: Applied knowledge of and experience in technology system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation, and electronics system.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.
