Duties

Provides technical support in the management of Architect-Engineer (A-E) contracts for design, engineering, Surveying and mapping, core drilling and testing, planning, project management, and other consultant services for Engineering Division. Reviews and checks payment estimates received from A-E firms for accuracy, completeness and reasonableness. Assembles contract documentation packages, ensuring proper sequencing of contractual events. Composes and writes drafts of various contract documentation such as acquisition planning board membership and meeting minutes, requests for proposal letters to contracting technical representatives, and records of negotiation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes independently initiate coordination with team members to exercise contract options, finalize payments/bills in accordance with the Prompt Payment Clause, and coordinate the completion of Architects-Engineers contract assessments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business/Public Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementClericalContracting/Procurement Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-6).
