About the position: This position will be assigned to the Eisenhower Golf Course, Air Force Academy, CO. This position does not include benefits.

Duties

Provides administrative support to the Eisenhower Golf Club staff. Uses word processing software to produce a variety of documents. May transmit and receive documents and messages electronically using personal computer or workstation that is networked or linked to other computers or workstations throughout the work area or organization. Types a variety of material from rough or handwritten draft such as correspondence, forms, reports, messages, and memorandum, associated with organization functions. Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, and maintaining files. Assists in maintaining an accurate and up to date database for all golf club members and staff. Responds to inquiries brought to the General Manager by customers, members of the staff, contractors, DOD agencies, and representatives of the private sector. Notifies appropriate staff of the need for information or recommendations and either prepares the responses or follows up to ensure a timely response by others. Receives visitors and telephone calls from high-ranking military and civilian officials visiting the U.S. Air Force Academy. Screens calls and visitors, answering most questions and completing that business involving established administrative policies without referring them to the General Manager and directing them to the correct department. Responsible for General Manager's calendar for commitments of time, keeping supervisor appraised of forthcoming events. Keeps supervisor apprised of forthcoming events and status of projects on a daily basis. Prepares presentations using office automation software such as Power Point. Receives and screens all correspondence for the General Manager, composes and prepares reports/correspondence (some of confidential nature) for the signature of General Manager. Serves as the forms and records manager (FARM). Maintains files and pertinent publications. Incumbent is responsible for all aspects of maintaining and reporting payroll for the facility. Establishes and maintains individual pay records, creates individual time/pay records for each pay period, verifies all pay action documents, updates employee records, disburses all time and attendance records to employees and completes all related reports. Responsible for accuracy, disbursement, and replenishing monthly Petty Cash Fund as well as tracking and receiving payments for tournaments, events or accounts that money is owed. Maintains a Master Calendar for all Golf Course Activities to include Golf Tournaments, Meetings, Catering Needs, etc. Position may be subject to furlough. Performs other duties as as needed. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Golf experience required. Must have progressively responsible experience in clerical or office work, which has provided a comprehensive knowledge of office automation software such as MS Excel, Power Point or similar software. Experience must have provided the ability to select, arrange and compose materials to support the duties and responsibilities of the position. Must be able to prepare a variety of written material correctly including using proper formatting, grammar, and spelling. Must have a basic knowledge of record keeping in order to maintain and perform financial duties stated in the position. Must be able to work independently. Applicant must have a strong telephone interpersonal and communication skills. Subject to uncommon tour of duty.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
