About the Position: Serves as the Seattle District senior specialist and subject matter expert (SME) in the full spectrum of geospatial technology and implementation.
Duties
Provide technical support to all Seattle District programs and projects that require the application of geospatial technology for development and implementation.
Serve as the lead geospatial Project Development Team (PDT) member in the evaluation of complex geospatial technology implementation initiatives, projects, and programs.
Collaborate with researchers from the USACE Geospatial Research Laboratory and CAD/BIM Technology Center to develop, pilot and implement products for decision support and mission planning and execution.
District Engineering Division Geospatial Representative responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of the CorpsNet computers and servers under a name-appointed Privileged Access Agreement (PAA).
Plan, organize, coordinate, schedule, and review workshops and special working teams established to promote the implementation of geospatial technology associated with the District and NWD.
Act as liaison with the ACE-IT ProjectWise Enterprise support group by providing feedback and recommendations from the CoP.
Review and analyze technical publications and other pertinent sources of information to remain current of technical knowledge and skills as it applies to geospatial technology.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must maintain CompTIA A+ and Security+ certifications and continuing education requirements.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing technical support and integrating Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) for engineering and construction projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
