The Director, Office of Facilities, Information and Asset Management manages a large annual operating, leasing, and capital budget and the operations, maintenance, and construction of Federal office space, conference space, library, warehouse, fleet, and dockets.
Duties
The Director, Office of Facilities, Information and Asset Management is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and implementing policies, programs, and standards relative to providing facilities, personal property, transportation services, and information and multi-media services to the Department and Operating Administrations. The incumbent also serves as the Department’s executive representative in all matters related to the modifications and budget of the DOT Headquarters building. In addition, the Director is accountable for positive customer experiences, successful business and policy outcomes, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence among the staff.

Qualifications
As a basic requirement for entry into the Senior Executive Service (SES), you must clearly articulate and describe within your five (5) page resume evidence of progressively responsible supervisory, managerial, or professional experience which involved management of a program or organization of significant scope and complexity. Your resume must provide information regarding your professional experience and accomplishments that demonstrate your ability to perform the duties of this position and meet the mandatory Technical Qualification(s) and Managerial Executive Core Qualifications listed below. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (TQs): Below are the descriptions of the mandatory technical qualifications for this position. Your five (5) page resume must provide information regarding your professional experience and accomplishments that demonstrate you meet these technical qualifications.
TQ 1: Demonstrated executive experience managing and leading a complex, multifaceted real property organization through continual, metrics-based evaluation and appraisal of goals and objectives in at least two of the following areas: facilities management (shipping and receiving, safety and health, fitness center, food services, and conference services); personal property programs (physical inventories; database management; and the acquisition, utilization, and disposal of personal property and records management); fleet and transportation services (fleet oversight, messenger service, motor pool service, special events, U-Drive vehicles, parking services, and shuttle bus services); and information and multi-media services (planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of programs and services for publications, distribution services, dockets, and database management and multimedia services).
