You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the NAVFAC ENGINEERING AND ACQUISITION DIVISION of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will monitor construction to assure compliance with contracts provisions and standards.
You will participate in multi-disciplinary in-house design teams.
You will prepare landscape architecture design, construction documents and specifications, for new and renovation projects to various types of Navy and Marine Corps facilities, using the latest technological design and drafting tools (CAD).
You will evaluate documented engineering procedures to assess the potential impact on other projects.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ) Performing all aspects of landscape architectural design for a wide variety of installation shore facility projects and sites, including planning, concept design development, sustainable design, design analyses, compliance with codes and standards, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and other required services; 2) Reviewing technical engineering specifications, drawings, and statements of work covering designs or changes for constructability and accuracy; 3) Providing day-to-day expert technical guidance and support in developing initial project documents plans, specifications, studies, reports, and other design work products; 4) Monitoring construction projects by performing worksite safety assessments to ensure a safe and timely completion; and 5) Coordinating the landscape architectural design with the architectural and engineering disciplines for Design-Bid-Build (DBB) and Design-Build (DB) projects to ensure overall compatibility and efficiency of the site and building design.
