As Administrative Assistant (Floater), you will assist the Office of the Commission and staff. When not on assignment to a Commission Office, you will be assigned to another office to perform similar functions in the administration of resources for the effective and efficient operation of the Office. The Supervisor is Bi Smith.
Duties
As an Administrative Assistant assigned organizationally to the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO) while typically assigned to “float” on an intermittent basis to the offices of the NRC Chairman and Commissioners. Also provides administrative support on a rotational basis to other offices wherever additional support is needed. Such assignments may include the Office of the Executive Director for Operations (EDO), Office Directors working in headquarters program offices, and in OCHCO.

- Background investigation leading to a clearance is required for new hires.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated proficiency with office automation applications, such as Office; Word; Outlook; power point presentations; and database applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and correspondence procedures sufficient to prepare and review outgoing material for correctness, proper format, and completeness.
Demonstrated ability to provide administrative support in a variety of areas (time and attendance reporting, travel, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in handling multiple assignments with competing priorities, often under considerable pressure to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing and to deal tactfully, efficiently, and professionally with all levels of personnel.
