Duties
You will review and adjust system controls, using Direct Digital Control (DDC) computer system.
You will diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problems.
You will Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical systems and components to isolate the cause of malfunctions.
You will Maintain bench stock levels of parts, materials, tools, and equipment to verify optimal efficiency.
You will Verify material or equipment is stored, protected, and maintained safely.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible.
The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Installs, maintains, and/or repairs a variety of complex industrial equipment and systems involving power steam, high, medium, and low pressure and temperature boilers; 2) Repairs maintains, troubleshoots, test new and existing electrical lines, circuits, system, and equipment; and 3) Performing maintenance work in multiple trades such as: heating & boiler plant and electrician.
