About the Position: This position is located in Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville. The cost of living is lower than the average for all major U.S. cities. This position provides administrative support for staff and residents, designs and modifies training, and ensures completion of mandatory training.
Duties
Verify completion of required patient reports and maintains the files.
Collaborates with Program Director in designing and modifying training and clinical rotation schedules.
Prepares correspondence, reports, and papers for publication.
Provides reports on resident training status to the DENTAC Education Committee.
Manages the Directors calendar and makes appointments based on clinical workload.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 5%.
- This position is designated “Mission Essential”. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties to include filing and maintaining office records and publications; preparing and reviewing correspondence; and preparing statistical data logs to track information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
