Serves as the Compliance and Airworthiness Section Manager for AIR-751 or AIR-771.

Duties

Serves as a SECTION MANAGER, directly supervising multiple employees and/or multiple organizational units. The Section Manager regularly coordinates with other Branch Managers across multiple organizational units. Responsible for assuring that the work of the organization directly supports the mission of AIR and AVS. The work requires application of technical knowledge, practices, principles, theories, concepts, methods, techniques and abilities in general inspection, investigation, and compliance, as they apply to Aircraft Certification.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Successful completion of a security investigation will be required.
  • A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.
  • A hiring manager may choose to interview one, some, none, or all candidates from the selection certificate.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-J, FG/GS-14.
