You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the Naval Test Wing Atlantic, VX-20 Resources & Operations Branch of NAVTESTWINGLANT NWCF. Duty Station: Patuxent River, MD

Duties

You will develop, manage, and monitor aircraft maintenance programs and QA Surveillance Plans (QASP). You will conduct QA inspections and prepare correspondence to communicate the results to upper management. You will conduct research and analysis to determine trends and unusual problems. You will recommend deviations from established practices/procedures when necessary.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: :(1) Managing, monitoring, and developing aircraft maintenance programs including statistical analysis and sampling techniques and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans (QASP). (2) Conducting Quality Assurance audits such as applying product specifications, technical data, work document review, and onsite surveillance to determine trends and unusual problems. (3) Developing recommendations and solutions to various support, safety, personnel, and compliance programs. (4) Planning, managing, and administering quality assurance, maintenance, and supply support technologies to implement quality control programs and systems (5) Overseeing the use of equipment and training for personnel in compliance with NAVAIR safety programs.
