Activities, ITT office, Library, Arts & Crafts, Fitness/Athletics, Bowling Centers & Theaters.
Duties
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Responsible for assisting in the assurance of an efficient operation of the Auto Hobby Shop, Vehicle Storage Lot and MWR Resale Lot during his/her shift. Must promote good patron relationship and enhance the image of the Auto Hobby Shop Program. Assists with the development, delivery and evaluation of programs and services targeted to the military and their family members. The incumbent reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift in order to ascertain what special preparations are required. Ensures that necessary space, supplies, and equipment are available. Enforces authorized patron regulations for activities and events. Provides instruction and guidance to all staff members during their shifts. Ensures adequate manning for special events as well as routine operations. Ensures that all personnel are fully utilized, requesting additional personnel or releasing unnecessary personnel as the situation warrants.
Responsible for oversight of the Auto Hobby Shop Program in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and procedures.
Reviews all daily activity reports (DAR) to ensure accuracy.
Assists the MWR Facilities Manager with duties, to include:
a. Interviewing, selecting and the indoctrination of new Auto Hobby employees.
b. Training of employees and ensuring that employees are polite, courteous and responsive to patrons.
c. Scheduling of employees
d. The enforcement of operating policies and procedures and ensures that all employees adhere to such policies.
e. The evaluation of work performance and advises of need disciplinary action.
f. Ensuring the equality of opportunity when carrying out all personnel related duties.
g. Preparing a report of all significant occurrences during his/her shift.
h. Responsible for the receipt, safekeeping, deposit, disbursement, and accountability of funds, in accordance with Navy and local instructions. Occasionally makes unscheduled cash counts.
Responsible for assisting with the coordination, operation, and maintenance of the activity during assigned shift. Monitors operation of assigned areas of responsibility, periodically checking to identify and resolve problems that may arise.
May assume the responsibilities of the respective Manager during his/her absence.
Assists in the conduct of a thorough and comprehensive safety, environmental and sanitation program for all areas.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
- Must successfully pass the E-verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.

- May be required to pass pre-employment examinations.
- Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National.
- A valid State driver's license is required to operate motor vehicles.

One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties described above. Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression.
