As a Management Assistant, you will:
Apply clerical and technical procedures, methods, and techniques, and use various systems to support the Office, including activities that involve arranging meetings and conferences, managing the manager's calendar, collecting and analyzing data, leading meetings on administrative and clerical procedures, managing logistical issues, etc.
Analyze, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of internal administrative processes, workflow, and reporting/tracking systems.
Develop, evaluate, and advise on the methods and policies related to administrative or records management systems' directives management, mail management, or forms management.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:
Specialized experience for the GS-09 is one (1) year of experience at the GS-08 level, or equivalent, which is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. Specialized experience must include:
- Reviewing correspondence according to established standards and procedures; AND
- Responding to visitor, virtual, and caller questions requiring standard responses; AND
- Editing documents used in final drafts or presentations by management; AND
- Analyzing data to ensure standards of timeliness and accuracy are met.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-09 you must have been at the GS-08 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
