You will serve as a Purchasing Agent in the NAWCTSD Orlando, Training Systems Procurement Department of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.

Duties

You will receive purchase requests from program directors. You will processes small purchase orders for a variety of local and non-local market. You will conduct solicitations. You will research and contacts with requesting personnel, suppliers, manufacturers, or non-local markets are required to locate sources for specialized items or services.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-8 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing complex purchasing work, utilizing technical purchasing methods and procedures; 2) Making purchases involving commercial requirements and average complexity; 3) Utilizing purchasing regulations, policies, and procedures; 4) Using solicitation and purchasing methods; 5) Providing superior customer service in determining and purchasing customer requirements. GS-7 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing purchasing work, utilizing purchasing methods and procedures; 2) Processing purchase orders based on established requirements; 3) Utilizing purchasing regulations, policies, and procedures; 4) Use solicitation and purchasing methods; 5) Providing superior customer service while performing purchasing work.
